How to Find Your Device Name or Hostname

To help us process your IT support request faster, please include your Device Name (Windows/macOS) or Hostname (Linux) when submitting the form.

Windows – Find Your Device Name

1. Press Windows + I to open Settings
2. Go to System → About
3. Under Device specifications, look for Device name

macOS – Find Your Device Name

1. Click the Apple menu → System Settings
2. Select General → About
3. Look for Name (this is your device name)

Linux – Find Your Hostname

Option 1: Using Terminal

1. Open a Terminal window
2. Type the command: hostname

Option 2: Using Settings

1. Open Settings → About (or Details)
2. Look for Device name or Hostname
