Welcome to the Kessler lab! Our research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel inorganic molecules and materials. Specifically, we are interested in main-group compounds, especially in (per)fluorinated main-group compounds.

 

Fluorine is the most electronegative element; and functionalization of molecules with fluorine often alters their stability, reactivity and solubility drastically. In our research we utilize it's often stabilizing effect to access unusual structural motifs.
