Excellence Awards

Award for Excellence in Academic Program Assessment

The UAT Award for Excellence in Academic Program Assessment was awarded by the University from Fall 2019 to Fall 2022 and was created to recognize programs that demonstrated innovation and excellence in the planning, implementation, and/or utilization of program assessment. This award was presented each year in December at the University Awards Convocation to one winner from each of the academic colleges.

Dr. Patricia A. Bell Inclusive Excellence Faculty Award

The award honors the legacy and impact of Dr. Bell, OSU’s first African American department head who served for three decades as a scholar, researcher and groundbreaking administrator. It recognizes exceptional accomplishments and a significant and sustained impact by a current OSU faculty member who furthers the university’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through research, instruction and community engagement. This is awarded by the University.

Excellence in Advising Award

This award recognizes outstanding academic advisors and mentors who have been identified by their respective academic college. This is awarded by the University.

Excellence in Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty

This award, with a $1,000 stipend, recognizes excellence in teaching and is presented to a non-tenure track faculty member with three or more years of service and whose primary assignment is instruction. This is awarded by the University.

Global Education Faculty Excellence Award

Honorees are faculty who have distinguished themselves by integrating a global perspective into instruction, research and outreach. The award consists of a $1,000 stipend.

Land-Grant Award for Excellence

This award was established to recognize a faculty member whose exemplary contributions promote the land-grant mission of Oklahoma State University. It is awarded by the University.

Online Teaching Excellence Award

The Online Teaching Excellence Award recognizes a faculty for a strong commitment to engaged, online teaching and student success. The recipient is selected based on evidence of their use of effective and innovative online teaching practices that result in student engagement, student satisfaction and their commitment to online students’ success.

Outreach Faculty Excellence Award

The Outreach Faculty Excellence Award was created to recognize and honor faculty contributions toward the OSU outreach mission of enhancing the quality of life in Oklahoma, the nation and the world by contributing to the human, economic and cultural development of our citizens.
