Marco Hernandez: Where Memory Takes Route

September 28 - October 15, 2026

Reception: Thursday, October 15, 5-7 pm

The Gardiner Gallery of Art was thrilled to announce a solo exhibition featuring the artist Marco Hernandez. His work explores contemporary Mexican and Mexican American culture through imagery rooted in personal experience, cultural heritage, ancient Mesoamerican traditions, and contemporary popular culture. Drawing upon Mexican history, folk traditions, and questions of intentity and belonging, he employs the printmaking procress as a means of combining historyical research, experimentation, and meticulous technique to create works that reflect his connection to and enduring pride in his Mexican heritage.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. The exhibition was curated by Cait Gurley, Curatorial Coordinator of the Gardiner Gallery of Art.
