3-Minute Thesis

Promote Your Research
CAS will host the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition for undergraduate students. This competition—complete with cash prizes—allows CAS students to display their hard work, gain confidence and practice communicating their findings to a general audience.

Computer science awarded grant to help with COVID-19 response

The Department of Computer Science recently received a National Science Foundation grant of more than $100,000 to develop virtual reality-based training simulators for COVID-19 first responders. 

 Psychology professor and team receive $2.9M for multi-year study

The National Institutes of Health recently awarded Dr. Larry Mullins and his collaborators nearly $3 million to fund the second half of a 10-year study on families of children born with disorders of sexual development (DSD).

Two CAS faculty receive Fulbright Scholar awards

Dr. Louise Siddons of the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History and Dr. Farida Jalazai of the Department of Political Science each received Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program awards in 2020. They plan to use the awards to study abroad in their respective fields.
