Hear from faculty who have used campus collections in their teaching and learn more
about these resources, featuring the OSU Library Special Collections, the OSU Museum
of Art, and the Vertebrates Collection! Short presentations by our featured speakers
will be followed by a reception with opportunities to learn more about various on-campus
collections.
Our Speakers
Dr. Stephanie Miller, Teaching Associate Professor in the Honors College, will present on "Twisters in
the OSU Archives: An Honors Seminar studies Tornado Culture through Newspapers."
Dr. Fabio Machado, Assistant Professor and Curator of Vertebrates in the Biology Department, will present on "'There are Dead Things in the Basement': Skeletons, Skins, and Stories fro OSU's Vertebrates Collection."
Dr. Ryan Slesinger, Teaching Assistant Professor in English, will present on "Integrating OSU Museum Vault Visits into a Cultural Studies Curriculum."
