Computer Sciences is the study of the theory of computing and algorithms and their
applications to solve real-world problems. This is a rapidly-developing field with
applications in all areas of human endeavor. The discipline encompasses many specialized
subfields with different theoretical models and focuses on practical problem solving.
Courses in the OSU Computer Science program teach students the latest technology in
software development with hands-on experience with tools and frameworks supported
by learning labs. The Department of Computer Science takes pride in providing a safe,
diverse, and inclusive learning environment that facilitates close interaction with
faculty with the goal to ensure the success of every student.
Our Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science is accredited by ABET.
Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site on big data analytics at Oklahoma
State University (OSU) is a ten-week summer program. The participants will engage
in research projects in big data analytics under faculty mentors' mentorship and guidance.
Information Centric Engineering (ICE) and Digital Manufacturing. Research areas deals
with creation of Virtual Reality based engineering and simulation environments for
a range of process domains (micro assembly, surgical simulation and space systems).
This RET site at Oklahoma State University (OSU) will immerse high school teachers
in research and curricular development activities to better engage students with AI
topics like Big Data, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
