Join the Boone Pickens School of Geology

We offer courses for select sub-disciplines in geology to better serve our students' interests. Our faculty engage students through hands-on research and students can even travel the world for international research experiences. We also encourage our students to participate in study abroad programs.

Our undergraduate curriculum prepares students for graduate school and careers in industry or at federal and state agencies.

Graduate Programs

Our M.S. and Ph.D. programs provide students with opportunities for research in the areas of Petroleum Geosciences, Water, Environment and Climate, Earth Structure and Dynamics, and Computational Geosciences.

BPSoG Geoscience Field Camp

The Boone Pickens School of Geology is offering a six (6) credit hour field camp experience in the summer of 2024.

NGWAU Drilling Basics

This collaboration between Oklahoma State University's College of Arts and Sciences and the National Groundwater Association aims to address the critical shortfall of geoscience workers and improve access to groundwater essential for people around the world.

Ph.D. Student Opportunities

This is an opportunity for one or two highly motivated students to join the Ph.D. program of the Boone Pickens School of Geology at Oklahoma State University in the fall of 2023, spring of 2024 and fall 2024.
