Summer STEM Academy

July 23-August 10, 2023

The Summer STEM Academy is a three-week residential program for incoming freshmen who have enrolled in fall classes at Oklahoma State University and plan to study a STEM major (see eligible majors ).

The program is designed to help students transition from high school to college. Students will get a preview of the college experience as they live on-campus in Wentz Hall and attend math classes, career development workshops and hands-on lab activities. On the final day, students will retake the math placement exam.

The aim of this program is to support incoming freshmen who may need additional preparation to achieve their goals. Students enrolled for STEM majors, but who do not yet qualify to take College Algebra (MATH 1513) are encouraged to apply. The registration deadline is July 7.
