Consider Continuing Your Education

Here at the Department of Sociology, we're large enough to include expertise in several substantive sub-areas of sociology, yet small enough to generate intimate graduate seminars and primary relationships between faculty members and graduate students. Our faculty's diverse sociological specialties, theoretical approaches and methodological styles enhance both the program's balanced graduate curriculum and the learning experiences of our graduate students. We encourage you to further explore our graduate program requirements and resources, as well as the University's course catalog, with descriptions and details of all graduate courses that fall under Sociology and Anthropology.

Specialty Areas

The Department of Sociology at Oklahoma State University offers both MS and PhD degrees emphasizing the fundamentals of sociological inquiry (i.e., theory, methods, statistics), as well as concentrations in five specialty areas. We encourage those who are interested to browse our info sheets for each specialty below. Should you have additional questions, please be in touch with our graduate program director Dr. Jonathan Atcuson-Coley.
