B.S. Journalism & Public Relations ’83

Larry Solomon graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 with a BS degree in Journalism-Public Relations. At OSU, he cut his teeth in journalism as editor of The Daily O’Collegian. His first job after leaving OSU was as public relations director for the Oklahoma Bankers Association.

 

Today, Larry is senior vice president of corporate communications for AT&T, the world’s largest telecom company with revenues of $146 billion and 280,000 employees. From AT&T’s global headquarters in Dallas, he is responsible for the company’s public relations, executive communications, social media and employee communications.

 

Solomon has more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications, most of it spent in the telecommunications industry.

 

Prior to becoming SVP for AT&T in 2008, Solomon served as senior vice president and senior partner at Fleishman Hillard, the world’s 3rd largest PR agency. While at Fleishman-Hillard, Larry led teams providing strategic communications to a variety of Fortune 100 companies.

 

A second-generation Cowboy, Larry grew up attending OSU sporting events and loving everything orange. Not only did OSU provide Larry with a great education, most importantly, it’s where he met his wife -- Diane Gallagher Solomon. #GoPokes!
