Bio
Heather McLaughlin (Ph.D., University of Minnesota, 2013) conducts research on gender deviance and conformity within three institutional contexts—work, law, and sport. Her dissertation research examines the relationship between gender, high school sport participation, and young adult work. A separate line of research explores the precursors and antecedents of sexual harassment. Her work has appeared in American Sociological Review, Law & Society Review, Sociological Quarterly, Handbook of Social Psychology of Inequality and Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health.
