Dr. Ashley Railey

Bio
Ashley Railey joined the OSU Department of Sociology in Fall 2022 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the intersection of public health and sociology at Indiana University. Her current research focuses on the social and economic dimensions of health behaviors among at-risk populations in the US and internationally. A secondary line of research evaluates the relationship between animal disease, biosecurity, and human health. Funding of her research includes by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, US Health Resources & Services Administration, National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute on Aging, and US Department of Agriculture.
