Stillwater High School Math Seminar

The Stillwater High School Math Seminar is a program in which faculty members from the Math Department give talks to the Stillwater High School Math Club on topics one wouldn't ordinarily encounter in a high school mathematics curriculum. The goal of the seminar is to give students an idea of the wide range of topics and subfields within mathematics, and to give them experience in thinking about and discussing these topics. The seminar meets once a month at Stillwater High School, during the lunch hour. The program began in early 2014, and talks given so far have covered diverse subjects such as graph planarity, 3d printing, knot theory, and quantum computing.
