Michael Joslin is a PHD candidate whose dissertation focuses upon the borderlands and borders of the Cherokee Nation during the 19th century and their impact upon ideas of race and sovereignty. He received a B.S. from Rogers State University and a M.A. from Northeastern State University. His other research interests include evironmental and labor history.
