Bio
Jason Harris is a PHD candidate who is currently writing a dissertation focusing on
the preservation and evolution of the Civil War in Oklahoma. His area of interst includes
public history, 19th century United States history, and the Civil War in public memory.
Mr. Harris serves on both the Mountian Plains and Oklahoma Museum Association board
of directors and is the state scholar for Oklahoma Humanities Crossroads: Change in
Rural America Museum on Main Street program. He received his B.A. and M.A. in History
- Museum Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma.
