Bio
Arlowe Clementine (they/them) is a MA student studying Public History. Their research
centers 2SLGBTQIA+ Bible Belt narratives within the 20th and 21st Century. Clementine's
work focuses on the intersections of queer community, sexual health advocacy, and
religious resistance within conservative regions. Other research interests include
queer pop culture history, Tulsa history, and youth activism movements. Clementine
received their BA in American Studies from OSU where they were voted American Studies
Student of the Year in 2018. They are a proud nonbinary Oklahoman and first generation
college student.
