Themes that run through nearly all my research include:
- Analytical/statistical method of analysis
- Emphasis on location, space, and/or place
- Positivist approach and application of methods, models, and pattern techniques
- Focus on economic and spatial behavior across many scales and topics
Specific areas in which I have conducted research include:
- Transportation geography (bypass impacts studies, patterns of traffic accidents)
- Communications geography (low power TV, radio, cell phones)
- Aviation geography (airport locations, signal interference)
- Assessment of critical thinking skills
