Teaching students using free online resources

We have created a few powerpoint slides and one video to help your teachers with online teaching.

These files are attached.

Here is an overview (the files are numbered for reference) – there are 3 powerpoint files and 1 video recording (the video link is provided below)

1. Recording audio inserting animations and video.ppt – this is an overview of how to insert audio, video and create simple animations in  a presentation.

To download, click on Recording audio inserting animations and video.ppt

2. Recording a class presentation.ppt – this provides detailed steps on downloading a free recording software called OBS studio (which runs on windows) and using it to record any discussions or interactions from your computer screen.

To download, click on Recording a class presentation.ppt

Apart from the powerpoint, there is also a recording of the steps for using OBS for clarity.

Note: I have referred to the OBS as OSB in the recording (a slipup on my part).

Here is a link for downloading that recording (the file is too large to be attached)  Full Recording How to Record.mp4

Using this OBS recorder, they can post any recorded interactions.

3. How to use skype and conduct a class – this provides the steps to download skype (free) and use it to invite students for an online (live) class session, which can also be recorded for future use.

To download, click on How to use skype and conduct a class
