Justen Renyer, MFA

Justen Renyer was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from the High School of Art and Design, with an emphasis in Illustration. In 1993, Renyer received his BFA in Painting from Cameron University. In 2007, Renyer received his MFA in Visual Communications from the University of Oklahoma with work in motion design, video editing, photography and print graphics.

 

He collaborated with art and engineering students on Pulse Pool, a project that explored how access to otherwise unavailable corporal information affects human interaction. This multimedia installation was exhibited at the Museum of Science, Boston. His thesis project, a print and video installation of motion graphics, focused on the role of rhetoric in the War on Terror. In 2010, his work on the music video 'AM Theme' was recognized by the AIGA (the largest organization for professional graphic design) as one of the year's outstanding examples of design. The work has been placed in their permanent design archives and exhibited at the National Design Center in New York City. His current work is in the areas of graphic, motion, interactive and sound design.
