Explore the cultural and historical landscape of southern Italy, from the great archaeological sites and museums of Rome to the ruins of Pompeii. You will have the opportunity to examine an on-going excavation in the historic town of Nocera Superiore, home of Roman ruins, mendicant churches, and one of the oldest and largest early Christian baptisteries in existence. The course includes trips to Pompeii, Paestum, Herculaneum, and the museums in Naples.
The costs include tuition and fees, travel insurance, lodging, most major excursions and transportation. The costs do not include airfare, additional meals, some museum entrance fees, passport or additional airline fees, and any miscellaneous costs a student might wish to incur.
All applicants must have an appointment to travel on the course. You can begin your course application but you will not be able to proceed without an appointment. Contact Shane O'Mealey in the Arts and Sciences Outreach office to set up an appointment and be accepted into the program.
