Screen Studies program incorporates film studies, television studies, and studies in new media. Courses cover a wide array of moving image productions and contexts—both American and international, fiction and non-fiction, narrative and avant-garde—and focus on the history, theory and aesthetics of screen-based representations, as well as their cultural and political impact. Courses to expect for this major include Introduction to Film and TV, Screen Theory and Criticism, History of International Film and Culture, and The Moving Image.

Scholarships are available for prospective freshmen, transfer students, current students and continuing students through the University, College of Arts & Sciences, and respective Departments.
When students complete the OSU admission application, they are automatically considered for the University Level scholarships.
Students are eligible for College Level scholarships within the College of Arts and Sciences after completing 12 hours at OSU. Some exceptions may apply. See specific scholarships for criteria.
