Walter Shaw directs the activities of Arts and Sciences Outreach, located in 213 Life Sciences East. As the Arts and Sciences Outreach Director, his primary responsibilities include overseeing daily Outreach operations, including program planning, marketing, and strategic planning; supervising all program coordination/management; and representing Outreach interests at the College and University levels. A longtime professional member of the University Continuing Education Association, Shaw has served on numerous committees, as well as chair of the Great Plains Region during 2000-2001. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society and was recognized as an OSU Distinguished Service Award finalist in the Administrative/Professional category in 1999. In addition, he has played an active role in numerous civic activities such as the Stillwater Area United Way, Leadership Stillwater, Stillwater Humane Society, and Stillwater Medical Center Foundation. Shaw has been involved with Outreach at Oklahoma State University since 1978, first in the College of Business Administration and more recently since 1991 in the College of Arts and Sciences. He has three degrees from OSU: a BA (1975) and MA (1978) in English and an MBA(1981) with emphases in Marketing and Management.
