Lorene Roberson is responsible for media and alumni relations for the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma State University. She joined the College in April 2007.
Lorene oversees dissemination of news about people, activities and events for the College. She is the editor of the College of Arts and Sciences magazine. She works to strengthen the College's relationship with alumni and friends.
Lorene previously served as assistant director for law school communications at Oklahoma City University. She has experience with universities in Minnesota and Florida. She also worked for newspapers in Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida. Her most recent published work was for the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times.
In 1984, Lorene earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from OSU where she served on The Daily O'Collegian. In 2005, she earned a master's degree in mass communications from the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg where she served as student newspaper adviser and attended The Poynter Institute focusing on social justice and race issues.
